I went fort hunting, I discovered the amazing Arabian sea as a bonus. When you stand on the shore with the sea right in front, you feel so insignificant. You are so tiny. I spent lot of time gazing into the huge water body. At places, I saw the city skyline curving along the coastline; at numerous places ~ colourful boats - both fishing as well as passenger ferries, and at places there was only the sea with nothing in the horizon except the gleaming waters. There was this jetty where I stood. Inspite of the scorching sun right above my head, I couldn't pull my eyes away from the grey-blue waters. As though I was hypnotised. Madh island has other attractions too like beaches and forested roads, but I simply loved the stark sea. At this point there was no beach, but only huge rocks at one corner with waves crashing in. Here's my trip in pictures. Enjoy :-)

a lone bird flying above the waters...

boats, boats and boats...

bombay skyline...what a contrast from where I stood...

'fish flakes' - these are where the fisherfolk dries their catch...

more such wooden racks along the shoreline where the fish becomes 'stockfish' after being exposed to sun & wind...

one last look of the surroundings from top of a nearby hill...

and, there's the fort too right next to the jetty...
Cheers till my next outing :-)
