If you are near the sea, you gotta visit its beach. Bombay a.k.a Mumbai has plenty of beaches...most popular are the Juhu and Chowpatty beaches. But they are overcrowded all the time as they fall within main city limits. There are yet more beautiful beaches further up north - Versova, Aksa, Manori, Erangal, Gorai, Marve etc to name a few ( many more yet further ). Since I was at Versova, I decided to visit its beach that day. After returning from Madh, I enquired the route to the beach. Its not far from the Versova jetty. There are couple of entry points to the beach. I visited two. Here they are. Enjoy :-)

1st entry introduced me to this rather small beach...it was kinda cute...with very few people...

view of the impressive madh fort at madh island at a distance...

plenty of boats...

had a lovely time, but, it was time to head to the next...

after few minutes walk I reached the 2nd entry to the beach...

the beach here was quite long, but, narrow...

birds playing about...

even lesser people here...maybe, because it was noon time...

artificial man-made reef made of concrete boulders to mimic natural rock formations...

they hugged the entire narrow coastline......

sand beneath my feet...

desi lifequard post :-) baywatch vibes anyone?
