If you get down at Nashik Road, you have to make a 20 minute ( due to traffic ) local bus trip to reach the Nashik Central bus stand, located in main city, where you can find the bus to Trimbak ( and other places ). Its around 10 bucks ride. The fare to Trimbak was under 100/- so fairly reasonable too. Since it was Kumbh season, there were long processions and groups of pilgrims here and there, throughout the road. Some were returning from the mela, some were going.
going off to Trimbak, Trimbakeshwar.....Kumbh here I come...
leaving Nashik city gradually...
heading for the cool country side...
half hour on the road now...spotted the anjaneri hills & fort at a distance...
Far away from civilization, where greenery n hills beckon;wherein, lies divinity,

When this thumb-like hillock comes in view, one can get down at Anjaneri phata nearby and head for the anjaneri falls. Anjaneri village is 15 minutes walk from the phata ( fork/ crossroad ). Its an interesting place ( especially, if you love trekking and nature trips ), which unfortunately, I could not cover that day. Unique thing about the anjaneri falls is that water, as it falls down the cliff, defies gravity here ( due to the strong wind - remember, Hanuman is supposedly the wind god 'pavan's' son ) and is quite a mesmerising sight.
Anjaneri, one of the forts in the mountain range of Nasik-Trimbakeshwar, is considered to be the birthplace of god Hanuman. Anjaneri is located 20 km away from Nasik by Trimbak Road. It has become a famous trekking spot for local Nashikites, specially in the rainy season. ( wiki )
moving on...I continue with my journey...passing by more hills...
approaching Trimbak, Brahmagiri hills giving company at the background...
Brahmagiri is another very exciting place for trekkers and nature lovers.
Brahmagiri is a mountain range in the Western Ghats of Maharashtra. It is situated in Nashik District in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Trimbakeshwar Shiva Temple is located near this place. The origin of the sacred Godavari river is near Trimbak.( wiki )
getting closer and closer...
those black-stone hills behind looks more intimidating in real...
finally reached Trimbak, after a 1 hour trip, time to get off the bus...
