Saves Time, Cooking Oil, Fuel and Money. Comes with 1-year manufacturer warranty. A great boon to working woman and housewives. Also makes rotis from jawar, Bajra, Maize, Rice Flour etc. Can also be used to make pancakes, papads, toast etc. This roti maker makes rolling chapattis easier than ever before. It allows you to make thin and perfectly circular chapattis with minimum effort. It has a non-stick surface that prevents the dough from sticking to it. It has been provided with a handle that makes it easy to press the plates together, and knobs that help you to lift up the top plate.
How To Use : Open the palettes and connect the plug into a 230/240V, Socket. Wait till the indicator automatically goes OFF. The unit is ready for use. The temperature will be maintained by the thermostat and the indicator will glow accordingly. Prepare the dough balls of about an inch in diameter. Flatten these balls slightly. Place a dough ball slightly off center, towards the rear of the bottom plate. Close the upper plate and gently press down the lever. Open the upper plate after a few seconds. The dough has now been rolled into the shape of a roti. Leave it in this plate for 15-20 seconds. Flip the roti over. In about 20-25seconds, air bubbles will begin to torn on the top surface of the roti. As this happens, turn the roti over and gently shut the upper plate of your Roti maker. After a few more seconds, the roti will start puffing up from both sides. Your roti cooked in the new roti maker is ready to be served.
If the roti is found to be irregular shape, check whether the dough contains enough water. If not, add some more water and mix well. For best results avoid pressing the lever again and again. Even that can be the cause of a broken roti's.
My Review ( P.O.V ) : I bought this life saver long back, but funnily had used it very few times. Recently, my LPG ran out and not just roti, I used it to make bread toasts as well ( see pic )...and they came out perfect. To be honest, my rotis didn't come that well as I expected. But that is because, I didn't knead the dough with right consistency of water required. I'm not good at cooking much so can't blame the appliance for that. I asked one of my neighbour to try it out instead and her rotis came good. So, all I need is good practice. Seeing that it does its job and is quite a handy appliance to have around in the kitchen, I'll recommend it. The machine has lot other variants in the market too. Do check them out :-)
Positives : Stylish, affordable and does it job. Highly recommended.
Negatives : None so far, but will need bit practice to master it completely.
