The incredibly unbelievable trip continues through Arunachal's death-defying terrains. We were stuck almost fourty minutes in Tenga, so reached Bomdilla later than our expected time. It takes about fourty minutes from Tenga and about five hours from Tezpur ( if on time ).

crossing the welcome 'dragon' gate, we approach Bomdila...its a steep climb!

Bomdilla town...

first time I was seeing snow so close...

on both sides of the road...on top of trees, on roofs of houses...everywhere...

it was drizzling too...on and off...keeping the windshield wiper busy all the time...

we drive through Bomdilla town for a while, and gradually start leaving it...

christmas season was still on..spotted people playing with snow, some threw it at us too...

we didn't get down from our Sumo, so, I enjoyed watching the snow from inside...

after crossing Bomdilla, we started going downhill, towards Dirang valley...

crossing Dirang town, famous for its Yak research centre, Dirang Dzong/Gompas & hot springs...
( Sangti valley is close by as well from here...people take a night-break in Dirang too )

howeever, we don't stop at Dirang either, instead, we drove on another 20 minutes..
.

till we finally stop for lunch at a busy dhaba, the food was great and reasonable too...

after refreshments...we drive on again...going uphill again...

till we suddenly encounter dense fog, near Senge...

I am told, this stretch is always this foggy and drivers have to be extra careful...
we could see literally nothing in front of us, this was the most difficult stretch...

after couple of nail-biting moments the fog finally clears, and we see the sun...

this point is really breath-taking as you finally see the gigantic himalayas looming...
and, a sea of fluffy white clouds in between, beneath our feet almost..I was speechless...

stunning, this place is what those romantic snowy songs in the movies are made of...
however, in our case, the passing army vehicles sang the duet with us...

welcome to Baisakhi...the hair-raising and enthralling journey continues...
