Not a mere garden, its a heritage site with the historic fort in its premises. This place was important way back during British rule, as it marked the end of the city. The opposite mainland of Salsette was a Portugese stronghold. At present day, its a place thronged by mostly locals to enjoy the greenery and relaxing atmosphere. Favourite for jogging, walking and exercises. The place gives unobstructed views of the city skylines as well as the thane creek and its distant salt pans.
