HAKKASAN CANTONESE SPECIALITY CUISINE

Bombay is a foodie's paradise and being from another state originally this city's food has kept me hooked for decades now. However, having tasted almost every type of food possible from all over the city and its suburbs, I decided to review the very unusual taste I had, a few weeks ago. Unusual because, the cuisine belongs to another country altogether! And to find authentic cuisine from a different part of the world in Bombay/Mumbai is what makes Hakkasan serving exclusive cantonese cuisine so unique a place and obviously one of the best places to eat!

Hakkasan, Bandra

What I liked about the place is its ambiance and decor. It is spacious and well lit, just perfect for that lunch/dinner outing with close friends or family. The kitchen is visible in the back, so it gives a totally different feeling to see your food getting prepared while you chat away.

I was there for an event and though I was not much into oriental food, the food did impress me with its very different taste. I'm so amazed at the different variety of food that can be prepared from almost the same ingredients. Have a look at the colourful dumplings I was treated to.

The Main course consisted of lots of Sea-Food items, along with the noodles and rice. Anybody having a soft-spot for cantonese food will know where to head next, the moment they want to taste it. A full 4-course meal for two will be around 3-4k @Hakkasan.

Do I need to say any more? Again, a very unique taste greeted me as these desserts melted in my mouth. I particularly loved the fluffy-rice with melting chocolate dessert ( on left ).
