Photo Travelogue :

From Kalo Dungar, it takes about half-hour to the India Bridge. This Bridge ( visible from atop the Kalo Dungar too ), is near the Pakistan border, hence, photography is strictly prohibited. We were allowed to cross the bridge, although, was asked not to stop on the bridge itself, by the BSF posted there. We came across what looked like an army/BSF compound ( some 80 kilometers from here is the Vighakot post ). There were lots of armed BSF men, who looked amused at us, when the cab-wala told them that we just came to see, and nothing else ~ didn't pose any threat. I could not click any pictures ( didn't want to be shot dead ). One can see the nearest Pakistani village and International border from there ( although, those are a bit are far away ). In the BSF compound, 10 kms from the bridge, was some war memorial and a BSF colony 'dharmsala'!
after returning, at end of the Kalo Dungar Road, take north turn to the India Bridge...
passing through vast stretches of desert and marshy land with patches of green...
some white salty stretches too, tried touching it...
approaching the India Bridge...
as we crossed, stealthily, tried clicking some pictures from inside the car :p
bye bye India Bridge...
halted at a rustic Khavda town dhaba for lunch...
and some refreshments ~ lassi or was it chaas...
