I'm just back from Tawang, in Arunachal Pradesh. If you've been following my updates, you'll know, I took a break from my busy Bombay life and have been exploring the north-east ( my native place ). I've been travelling non-stop, with only 1-2 day gaps in between. Needless to say, I'm spending most of my time on the road. Its been an amazing experience so far. The experience has been made even more exciting and hassle-free, because, I always carried my most trusted companion along with me all the time. Can you guess what it is? Well, its Whisper! It is something I always pack first whenever I'm travelling. With it by my side, I don't have to fear anything - what we girls mostly worry about - periods!

In between the trips, I got the all new Whisper Ultra Clean pack for review. Just as I was packing for Tawang the package came and without a second thought I carried it with me. There was a cute sipper too, that was so needed in my trip as well. Thanks Whisper India for these goodies ~

Whisper India recently launched its newest Whisper Ultra Clean Sanitary pads in the glitzy event attended by several bloggers and celebrities. The new product is 5 times more better, than any of it previous versions. I'll let you know as well why I think the new Whisper Ultra Clean is superior!

The road to Tawang is 16 hours on road from Guwahati. Can you imagine how uncomfortable it can get, if you are having periods during that time? Specially, when the entire journey is on a mountainous terrain - deep inside the himalayas, no less! And with only 1-2 stops in between.

Whisper Ultra gave me the confidence to bear the distance, the heights and the non-stop travel. The new pads has 1000 Suction Holes in the top-sheet, that absorbs upto 100% wetness from all ends. Just what I needed in such travels. The Magic Gel Crystals in them are indeed magical. When you are sitting continuous for hours, these crystals offer better dryness. I couldn't have asked for more, else imagine being cramped inside a packed-vehicle. Whisper's usage of such innovative technology is indeed applaudable. Besides, it is soft and rash-free, hence, very comfortable and easy on skin.

The other feature I found really good about the new Whisper Ultra is its Odour-Lock System. Period odour, as we all know is horrible. And in places so high and moist ( with snow, fog, mists all around ), it can get worse. But, I didn't have to worry at all, as the new Whisper Ultra took care of it. It instead gave out a pleasant scent. So, I didn't have to give a nightmare and headache to my fellow passengers ~ a relief. Besides, with odour taken care of, I felt fresh and confident too.

Up there in Tawang, I had to stay in a hotel. So, washing bed-sheets etc ( in case of leakage ) were out of question. As such, I absolutely loved the Extra-Long feature of the new Whisper Ultra, that took care of my overnight leakage-worries. Through the entire travel, and also during my stay up there, I didn't have to constantly check or change. The 'long-in-size' feature ensured longer protection too.

Indeed, I found, one Whisper Ultra Clean pad proving to be equivalent to five ordinary pads i.e 5 times better. I'm thankful to Whisper India for making my life and all my travels so much hassle-free. Even in altitude of over 14000+ feet, I really could #OwnThose5Days!

My Point of View ( P.O.V ) : I remember, it was the month of Oct'15, author Ravi Subramanian had given a prompt for a story-writing contest. It was a passage from his latest book - 'The BestSeller she wrote'. I had taken part in it, and every single moment I wrote my own take on the topic, I kept wondering what the original version would be. Three months since, the book actually landed in my hands for review. Imagine my glee! Finally, I was getting to read what I was so curious about all this while. Let me start with the cover of the book. Yellow, summery - it is fresh and appealing to the eyes; the title, no doubt, being very interesting too - one that throws all types of possibilities in our mind. The blurb does give a hint of it being some sort of a love-triangle, but is it just that? Lets find out. ( I can safely say, its not at all like the one I wrote in that contest. )

Firstly, I must say, a welcome change it is for the author to move away from his usual genre of thrillers based on banks/banks/banking etc ( that he's famous for ), and trying a totally different genre this time ( though, the banking part is still there - with the main character being a successful banker himself ). Kudos for that anyways, for trying out a different genre, that is. Romance and relationships ( extra marital affairs, betrayal, redemption etc ), the book greets you with these, along with ambition, desires, conflict of interest ( as in to what extent one can go to achieve their dreams ) etc, that keeps the interest factor alive. Although, there are some dull patches in the book too that can be re-edited ( hopefully ). The main characters in the story are Aditya ( banker cum author ), Shreya ( critic turned Aditya's fan, and aspiring author ), Maya ( Aditya's wife and mother of Aryan - their son ) and Sanjay ( Aditya's friend ), around whom all the story revolves; the plot being set in the publication sphere. There are few other characters too. Things are all good till Aditya runs into Shreya at a lecture session; wherein, she criticises him at first, but soon turns into his fan, and who aspires to write a best-seller. She, however, doesn't hesitate to use him too, to achieve that end. The story, although a bit filmy ( there's going to be a movie based on it soon ), does have reality etched into it ( with some real names from the industry being included in it as well ); hence, is relatable to a great extent. Their relationship ( i.e Aditya and Shreya's ), obviously leads to a string of events unfolding, including chaos in Aditya's marital life. What happens next, is what the story is all about. I won't give away any spoilers. And to really know what happens in their lives, one has to read the book. There are some serious issues that are touched upon in the book by the author, which is really applaudable.

I wish the story was bit fast paced though, like his other thrillers. But then, maybe the author wanted to go bit slow with this particular romantic story-line. However, having read his other stories in the past, I expected something more exciting/gripping. Good thing however is, there is fair amount of suspense in the book, so not all ( i.e time, money, energy in reading ) is lost yet. And must say here, this story although predictable, is a good one-time read!
Note : Don't compare with the author's past works, while reading, you may get bit disappointed.

THE BESTSELLER SHE WROTE

Positives : Easy language, smooth flow..the story is simple and can be finished at one go. Ideal for light reading during travels. A movie will be made based on it too, so another positive feat.
Negatives : None, except perhaps, more effort could have been made to make the story much richer, faster and also the dull parts re-edited.
Who will enjoy this? - Everyone, specially those who enjoys reading romances.
Buy or Don’t Buy? – Buy, if you love this genre!

ASUS ZENPAD 7.0 REVIEW

Just when I was sulking over my precious mobile, that was recently stolen; I got such wonderful gift within a few days, that I couldn't resist smiling to myself. The new Asus ZenPad7.0 landed in my hands ( for review ), and my loss was somewhat forgotten. I remember, attending its launch couple of months ago, and was so impressed with its demonstration ( by the Asus representatives ); that I really wished, I could own it someday! And today, I am holding it in my hands - unbelievably incredible right?!
After a pretty happy experience with Asus's laptop, I was happily looking forward to using its Mobile device as well.

Packed securely, the product came safe, and I could barely wait to use it. I was travelling sometime ( for my blog ), and decided to take it along too. Asus ZenPad7.0 proved to be great travel companion. Let me tell you the features I absolutely loved about this tablet and why you must get it too.

First of all it is a Black, 16 GB, Wi-Fi+3G enabled device with Android v5 (Lollipop) OS. It has 8 MP Primary Camera, 7 inch Touchscreen! Very reasonably priced, check out more of its specifications on Flipkart!


  • Amazing Performance and Battery Life - 64-bit 1.2 GHz Intel Atom x3-C3230 Quad Core processor and 2 GB RAM, the device is really incredible. Since, its still new, I can't say I've come across any problems as yet while browsing the web or playing videos/games. Its been smooth and fast as I multi-task. Of course, you need to update it ( the software that is, as prompted by the device ); do check out for those!
    Its battery too has not failed me as yet. Will update, with more usage.

  • Absolutely Fantastic Camera - PixelMaster, no less! For travel blogging, good pictures are a must. Asus Zenpad's 8MP rear ( high resolution ) camera impressed me a lot. Best thing about it is its low-light mode that enables you to capture pictures at night, without the need of flash. It has a 2MP front camera too. What more, it allows 'beautification' as well!
    I must also mention here Asus Zenpad7.0's no strain high quality screen and HD display, that makes watching videos an absolutely delightful experience, because, watching video and playing games are what I generally do to pass my time during journeys.

  • Elegant and Stylish Design with Leather Pattern, and Audio Cover - It is a gorgeous and classy device to hold. Its Ergonomic rounded edges, gives a better grip. It also has an anti-fingerprint coating on it, that's so important in touch-screen devices. The Audio Cover can be fixed easily to the device, and its DTS-HD Premium Sound and SonicMaster technology gives amazing cinematic sound quality. However, it's usage draws power from the tab's battery; so if you use the cover as well, the battery-life may not be that long and may require charging.

  • The Asus ZenPad7.0 along with its simple, smart and visually appealing ZenUI, comes with more attractive features and enhancements. I am not too finicky about gadgets, and anything that works well and is smooth, without too much struggle, is enough good for me ~ so Asus ZenPad7.0 gets a definite thumbsup from me, and I'm proud to own it!

    I'll be writing about menstruating and related products in this post. I have always hesitated to talk about them openly. Every single woman experiences menstruation almost their entire lives ( from puberty to menopause ); it being the most important aspect of womanhood; yet, we shy away from it. Well, not any more!     Periods, however, I must say, brings along with it lot of physical discomfort. There are lots of myths attached to it as well. But with newer technology, those are a thing of the past ( with myths being busted too ). I remember, when I had my first period, I used clothes. It was messy, uncomfortable and I hated it. I wished we didn't have periods at all, and would curse God or anyone that had the misfortune to come my way day and night during those days.
