ASUS ZENPAD 7.0 REVIEW

..¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸ Just when I was sulking over my precious mobile, that was recently stolen; I got such wonderful gift within a few days, that I couldn't resist smiling to myself. The new Asus ZenPad7.0 landed in my hands ( for review ), and my loss was somewhat forgotten. I remember, attending its launch couple of months ago, and was so impressed with its demonstration ( by the Asus representatives ); that I really wished, I could own it someday! And today, I am holding it in my hands - unbelievably incredible right?! I was travelling sometime ( for my blog ), and decided to take it along too. Asus ZenPad7.0 proved to be great travel companion. Let me tell you the features I absolutely loved about this tablet and why you must get it too. First of all it is a Black, 16 GB, Wi-Fi+3G enabled device with Android v5 (Lollipop) OS. It has 8 MP Primary Camera, 7 inch Touchscreen! Very reasonably priced, check out more of its specifications on Flipkart! Amazing Performance and Battery Life - 64-bit 1.2 GHz Intel Atom x3-C3230 Quad Core processor and 2 GB RAM, the device is really incredible. Since, its still new, I can't say I've come across any problems as yet while browsing the web or playing videos/games. Its been smooth and fast as I multi-task. Of course, you need to update it ( the software that is, as prompted by the device ); do check out for those! Its battery too has not failed me as yet. Will update, with more usage. Absolutely Fantastic Camera - PixelMaster, no less! For travel blogging, good pictures are a must. Asus Zenpad's 8MP rear ( high resolution ) camera impressed me a lot. Best thing about it is its low-light mode that enables you to capture pictures at night, without the need of flash. It has a 2MP front camera too. What more, it allows 'beautification' as well! I must also mention here Asus Zenpad7.0's no strain high quality screen and HD display, that makes watching videos an absolutely delightful experience, because, watching video and playing games are what I generally do to pass my time during journeys. Elegant and Stylish Design with Leather Pattern, and Audio Cover - It is a gorgeous and classy device to hold. Its Ergonomic rounded edges, gives a better grip. It also has an anti-fingerprint coating on it, that's so important in touch-screen devices. The Audio Cover can be fixed easily to the device, and its DTS-HD Premium Sound and SonicMaster technology gives amazing cinematic sound quality. However, it's usage draws power from the tab's battery; so if you use the cover as well, the battery-life may not be that long and may require charging. The Asus ZenPad7.0 along with its simple, smart and visually appealing ZenUI, comes with more attractive features and enhancements. I am not too finicky about gadgets, and anything that works well and is smooth, without too much struggle, is enough good for me ~ so Asus ZenPad7.0 gets a definite thumbsup from me, and I'm proud to own it! ..¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸

NANDINI REVIEWS SNIPPETS - EDITION 2

I'm back with a host of events, I've been to, the past couple of weeks. Sorry for not being consistent. Well actually, for some events, I had already written separate posts ( in both my blogs ). Do check out those as well. Anyways, enjoy the ones I'm covering today.

ASUS DIVAS MEET - SELFIE PHONE LAUNCH - Sept 6th was a very special day for the ladies in Bombay. It was the Diva's meet, and all pretty ladies ( ahem, a few odd men too ) assembled at the ITC Grand Central. Anushka Dhandekar of MTV fame, made an appearance with her make-up secrets to look better for Selfies, and also showed us some tricks to click that perfect selfie. Here, I must say, before the 'Selfie' term was even invented or I had heard anything of it, I've been self-clicking my pictures ever since I got my first phone with a camera in it. That was ages ago. So, the tricks taught were something I had known for quite sometime, myself. I think, every gal anyways finds it out for themselves, with practice. For instance, tricks like, always click a selfie by holding the camera at a certain height from your face and never from below. Know your best angle and click the most awesome looking pictures of yours ever by exploiting that angle. Speaking of Selfies, Asus has come up with a special 'Selfie' phone itself, that makes clicking Selfies far more easier. It has an 'S' swipe on its screen and a 'click' option at the back of the phone. There are more added features in the phone, along with accessories that comes in cute colours as well. ASUS ZENPAD LAUNCH MEET - As mentioned above, another Asus Meet took place at the venue of Four Seasons Hotel, Worli, on 9th Oct. It was for the Zen Pad launch. The product was already launched at the Zen Festival, held in Delhi prior; but, it was specially launched again in Bombay, to give proper focus to it. The product itself was quite impressive ( as thoroughly explained in the demo, by one of Asus's representatives ), and at an affordable price range too. I quite liked its unique UI features with privacy options, DTS sound quality and very clear display. Only complaint is - both Asus events left me very hungry :|

#FAMESTARSLIVE - This was a special event, organised by #Fame and I was invited by BM. The event was attended by some famous names like Gaurav Gera ( comedian ), Radhika Apte ( actress ), Ruchi Gangrade ( RJ ) and Mickey Mehta ( fitness expert ), along with about 50+ top digital infuencers of Bombay. How to brand yourself, and how these stars utilizes the social media to their fullest; a few tricks and some interesting AVI's by Jackie Bhagnani, Sunny Leone etc were the main takeaways from the event, besides of course, some awesome goodies like Selfie-Stick, Power-banks and device holder. The event was held at the Novotel hotel in Juhu, not to mention, the dinner that followed afterwards was mouthwatering. The App is free to download and use, and literally anyone can come into the limelight and get fame with it, its as easy as that.

BRUNCH WITH GOCHEESE AND CHEF RANVEER BRAR - Held at Hard Rock Cafe, Worli, this event had the Brand Ambassador of GoCheese, Chef Ranveer Brar ( *sigh*, he is married ), narrating his story and association with the brand. The marketing managers of the brand too fielded Q&A's from the media present, while we got to see some interesting recipes by the chef using gocheese screened at the event. Interactions and Selfies followed next, with some nice yummy bites. The event was all about cheese, and we were sent home with a goodie bag each, that had all kinds of cheese inside it. I had used Go Cheese earlier too, so, I must say I have no complaints with the product. Infact, it was interesting to find out that Parag Foods Limited is the face behind my favourite Gowardhan Ghee too. There are many more interesting products offered by the company, all associated with milk. The company is fairly new, but has branched out well.

THE DVAR COLLECTION - EXHIBITION - The same evening of 7th Oct, after all that cheesy affair, I made my way to a fashion exhibition next at 10th Road, Juhu. I was invited by Dvar India to celebrate their launch of different collections ( by different designers ) under one roof. Talented Daughter of Dilip & Manali Vengsarkar - Pallavi, who Launched her Accessories Line​. ZOONI - a 25 year old Label's​​ Classic, Evergreen ​Indian Couture Range of Gaara & Zardozi. Ushma Vaidya - A Protege of Manish Malhotra who impressed beautifully with her Mirror & Gold Work Laden Outfits in Pop Colors for the Festive Season Ahead! Industrialist Uday Kilachand's Wife, Sangeeta, who has dressed the Royalties of the Country & the Ambani Bahus, showcased her Vintage Line inspired by the Heritage of Gujarat​. Also, was the Legendary GOPI VAID & the New ​Bridal​ Lady in Town - Disha Patil in the event. While the creations had me awestruck, the prices made me almost faint. Phew!

ASUS Eee PC 1015CX-BLK011W NETBOOK ( 2nd Gen Atom Dual Core ) - PRODUCT REVIEW

Asus is a young, fast growing company with innovation and quality as its core, catering to the needs of the people ever since it entered the market. The Asus Eee PC 1015CX-BLK011W Netbook is a sophisticated machine, which has multiple user friendly features to perform necessary functions, all at a very reasonable price. It has the Intel Atom Dual Core ( 2nd Generation ) integrated processor which is very powerful and more thus reliable. The Asus Netbook is suitable for both business purposes as well as for personal use.

Style and Portability : It is a very professional looking, compact device( dimensions of 262 x 178 x 36.4 mm ), weighing only 1.25 kg, with a sleek design and smoothly curved edges. It is portable and can be carried or fitted anywhere. The display of the notebook is of a high resolution, with a 10.1 inch screen. The WSVGA LED Backlight Non-Glare Display produces brilliant screen clarity of the images/visuals. A sturdy Standard Chiclet Keyboard along with a touchpad, makes typing and navigation very simple.

Performance : It is a high performance and efficient netbook. The Intel Atom Dual Core N2600 Processor which is built on a Mobile Intel NM10 Express Chipset, and supported by a clock speed of 1.6 allows multitasking all day without compromising on speed. The system memory of the device is 1 GB DDR3 and the SATA Hard Disk installed in this system has a sizeable capacity of 320 GB for data storage. The Intel GMA 3600 Graphic Processor permits mild gaming and can play HD movies.

Multimedia and Connectivity : The speakers are of high quality and have Hi-Definition Audio CODEC Sound with an Internal Mic and a 0.3 Megapixel web camera that can be used to record videos or take pictures. There are three USB 2.0 ports attached on the sides of this Netbook. The HDMI and VGA ports allow you to connect the system to other devices that support video. The multi card slot is another useful feature. For internet connection it has the wireless LAN. An RJ45 LAN port is also available on the system. Wireless transfer of data is possible with the installed Bluetooth device.

Battery and Other Features : The 6 cell battery of this Netbook provides an amazing battery backup of up to 11 hours. A 65 W AC Adapter is required to supply power to the system.

When I bought this device over a year ago from a retail shop, it cost me around 17k, and now I'm seeing it available at around 15k on flipkart online store. Now ain't that simply superb? I think it is, 'cos you get an amazing product at such a cool, cheap prize. Amazing, because I've been using it like a maniac. I have 3 laptops and 2 desktops ( dont ask me why I have so many computers, its a long story, and I do love them too - dont get me wrong ), but this Asus baby of mine is simply so precious. I love its size. It is so easy to carry around - anywhere I like with an amazing battery that lasts for hours. I do my daily activities on it effortlessly, though I use my other computers too occasionally. But this one is like my baby, whom I cant ignore, lol.
