The new Asus ZenPad7.0 landed in my hands ( for review ), and my loss was somewhat forgotten. I remember, attending its launch couple of months ago, and was so impressed with its demonstration ( by the Asus representatives ); that I really wished, I could own it someday! And today, I am holding it in my hands - unbelievably incredible right?! After a pretty happy experience with Asus's laptop, I was happily looking forward to using its Mobile device as well. ..¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸ Christmas just got merrier wit this awesome Asus ZenPad 7.0 by @AsusIndia!Can't wait 2 try it. I was travelling sometime ( for my blog ), and decided to take it along too. Asus ZenPad7.0 proved to be great travel companion. Let me tell you the features I absolutely loved about this tablet and why you must get it too. First of all it is a Black, 16 GB, Wi-Fi+3G enabled device with Android v5 (Lollipop) OS. It has 8 MP Primary Camera, 7 inch Touchscreen! Very reasonably priced, check out more of its specifications on Flipkart! Amazing Performance and Battery Life - 64-bit 1.2 GHz Intel Atom x3-C3230 Quad Core processor and 2 GB RAM, the device is really incredible. Since, its still new, I can't say I've come across any problems as yet while browsing the web or playing videos/games. Its been smooth and fast as I multi-task. Of course, you need to update it ( the software that is, as prompted by the device ); do check out for those! Its battery too has not failed me as yet. Will update, with more usage. Absolutely Fantastic Camera - PixelMaster, no less! For travel blogging, good pictures are a must. Asus Zenpad's 8MP rear ( high resolution ) camera impressed me a lot. Best thing about it is its low-light mode that enables you to capture pictures at night, without the need of flash. It has a 2MP front camera too. What more, it allows 'beautification' as well! I must also mention here Asus Zenpad7.0's no strain high quality screen and HD display, that makes watching videos an absolutely delightful experience, because, watching video and playing games are what I generally do to pass my time during journeys. Elegant and Stylish Design with Leather Pattern, and Audio Cover - It is a gorgeous and classy device to hold. Its Ergonomic rounded edges, gives a better grip. It also has an anti-fingerprint coating on it, that's so important in touch-screen devices. The Audio Cover can be fixed easily to the device, and its DTS-HD Premium Sound and SonicMaster technology gives amazing cinematic sound quality. However, it's usage draws power from the tab's battery; so if you use the cover as well, the battery-life may not be that long and may require charging. The Asus ZenPad7.0 along with its simple, smart and visually appealing ZenUI, comes with more attractive features and enhancements. I am not too finicky about gadgets, and anything that works well and is smooth, without too much struggle, is enough good for me ~ so Asus ZenPad7.0 gets a definite thumbsup from me, and I'm proud to own it! ..¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪¸¸

My Review ( P.O.V ) : This is another one of my babies that I won and received it a few days back. Even though its the common man's tab ( aka budget tab ), I'm absolutely loving it. In the box was the Tab, Charger, User Guide, OTG cable and Headphone. It's supported networks are 2G: GSM - 900, 1800; 3G: WCDMA - 2100 with voice call facility. Camera is Full HD ( video ) Recording at 1920 x 1080 and secondary camera of 2 megapixels; both has auto focus. Battery Talk Time is 15 hrs, Standby Time 325 hrs. Go to the flipkart site for a more detailed specifications. For me the tab is a winner, because as of now, I found it quite cute and hasn't given any problems as such. Of course, I'll update if it starts throwing tantrums. I've gotten rid of many of the apps it comes bundled with, hence, made quite a lot of free space to download my favourite apps - what else, lol. The touch-screen has a screen guard already fixed, so I'm loving it. I've also tethered the USB, and it functions as a modem as well whenever I want to access internet from it via my lappy. Tethering is easy - go to settings, choose 'more' in the data option, you'll see the USB option next along with others, click that and then the 'tether' box. Its quite easy I tell ya! As such, one can use two gadgets with the same internet connection. I'm also fixing a regular USB webcam on it via an app, so that it can work as a CCTV as well. I'm not a gamer, so dunno if the tab will be ideal for that. But for light usages, its just perfect. There is a 1 year warranty on the product as well, in case some issue arises.

Positives : Looks good - sexy n sleek, affordable - doesn't pinch the pocket; I'm loving it.

My Review ( P.O.V ) : I've known about webcams for more than a decade now. And I've known and used them primarily as a gadget used for video chatting. Which is cool by the way. However, today I'm reviewing this product more as a tool that can be used as a CCTV surveillance camera too, although, it is essentially a webcam that is normally attached to USB2.0 port of your desktop or lappy. This camera had several LED lights around it, that are manually adjustable ( from off, dim to full bright ) and thus making it possible to use it even in the dark. The Night vision, however, is not the Infra-red night vision that more sophisticated CCTVs has, where lights are not visible to naked eye. In this camera, lights are visible. I already have another webcam that I'm currently using as a CCTV ( see pic below ). Good thing about this webcam is ~ it is plug and play - thus, installs instantly ( although, it also has a CD that comes along with it ). The product comes with a 1 year manufacturer warranty and has a built in microphone. You can choose other variants of webcams and try the DIY given below on them as well.


DIY - How to make your webcam a CCTV Surveillance Camera : If you can afford a professional CCTV camera set up, its well and good. A good quality set will cost above 10k and that much investment is a must. However, if you don't want to spend so much and want a cheaper but reliable option, then follow this DIY to make your webcam into a CCTV. You'll need a webcam ( obviously ), a 5 metre USB cable and your laptop, that's it! My laptop has about 110GB free space, so it roughly gives me about 3 days worth of footage ( using small resolution output ), on a single recording. So, it depends how much space your PC has to store the footage. Normal CCTVs give more than a month - but hey, we are talking DIY cheaper option here! So, take the USB cable, attach one end to the webcam and the other to your laptop - how easy is that? Fix the webcam on your door or above it and focus on the area you want covered. In my case, it focuses on the corridor, so I can see whoever comes and goes by my door. You can also attach a microphone, although, the webcam too has got one, recording voice. When you want to record video, simply start the webcam and go to the 'start capture' option and click it, pronto!
Security is very important in this day and age. With the camera installed, you know in advance who is outside your door even before opening it or what happened during your absence too ( if you record ). So, go for it and make you and your family more secure.

Negatives : None, except the field of view which is bit small so a person need to stand bit far.

My Review ( P.O.V ) : I've seen some people sneer snobbishly at low priced goods, and have even seen one personally bash Asus products left, right and center. But let me say it here, loud and clear - I've been a proud Asus user since last couple of years and my laptop ( bought couple of years back ) is still working great. So, why buy another laptop ~ must be your next question. Well, I had many flipkart gift-vouchers lying around, so after buying tones of useless things, I decided to buy something useful for a change. And for a regular computer user, that I am, nothing is more useful than an extra laptop now, is it? I fell in love with it instantly and chose the 'gold' colour, intentionally. I already had a black one, so why not be flashy this time, eh? Like my other Asus lappy that had intel Atom in it, this one has one too ( with 4 cores ). And one can be assured of quality of the product, if there's Intel inside. It comes with a 1 year warranty and is pre-loaded with lots of stuff like Win.8, Microsoft Office365 1 year subscription, with the whole package of Full Versions of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Access, Publisher and OneNote, Along with 1 TB of Microsoft OneDrive ( needs to be Activated within 6 Month of Purchase ).
I've already worked on it few times and I'm so impressed. Its sleek, slim and light weight, I can carry it everywhere. One may require to buy external storage ( micro sd card ) though. It is soundless; so no noise to distract you as you work and doesn't heat up much as well, a plus point. It charges quite fast ( 3 hrs ) and gives almost 9-10 hrs battery back up. A huge plus point. Its great for light uses like - browsing, watching movies, doing work on Word/Excel etc or simple games. But very heavy users may not find it that impressive. However, having said that, for its price its a great stylish machine no doubt. Will update further as I use it more. Meanwhile, check out its other awesome colours, who knows I may buy another as and when I get more vouchers :P

My Review ( P.O.V ) : With its plug and play auto-install, the device ( made of plastic ) instantly got installed in my laptop, as soon as I plugged it in the USB port. Its cute and requires USB Port 2.0, and has 4 hubs. I don't know much techno-jargon, but so far its working like a charm. I tried using it in direct USB Plug too, so far there's been no problem. I think it is quite useful, when these days you have so many gadgets to sync and transfer stuff from one to the other. In the box, comes the USB Hub and Cable. One needn't keep removing and inserting again and again for the lack of ports anymore. It has a power switch with a blue light indicator. One can switch it off, when not in use thus, saving energy too. Its very light in weight, and with a good design; proving to be a great utility tool. When I bought, it was 169/- and now only 80/- Whoah!

Positives : A Good value for money product.
Negatives : None so far, except perhaps the light is little too bright.

Trust me, having bunch of these is such a relief when your bigger, costlier devices suddenly and very unexpectantly stops working or malfunctions. It can be fixed to the USB Port 2.0 in your laptop/PC and that's it. Pleasant cool breeze welcomes you the next instant. One can use them directly with USB plugs too, available in the market - thus, one not necessarily use these only when your lappy is on. The blades are of soft plastic, and the stick is flexible - making it turn any side you want. The product comes with a 1 month warranty on manufacturing defects. There's one more variant which has the LED light attached to it. One can buy the USB lights separately too ( I've done that ). Check them out below :-) They are a must this summer.

My Review ( P.O.V ) : I bought the 3 fans pad-model one ( see pic on top ), and I must say its been one hell of a cooler for my lappy. It looks quite delicate, as the frame is of transparent plastic, but till now its been working fine. I think notebook cooling pads are a must, as working continuously in our laptops heats up the machines fast and it needs cooling to last long and work efficiently, else, its life might get cut short due to over-heating of its vital organs. I bought mine at Rs.299, but there's a wide range available at flipkart, so prices can differ as per your needs and budgets. Mine is active cooler unlike passive coolers that is another variant that doesn't use electricity. Active coolers generally use small fans to generate additional airflow around the body of the laptop that helps divert heat away from the device. It has USB to draw power from laptop itself. Some may have additional power adapter or even built-in USB hub, so as not to consume one of the laptop's often limited number of USB ports. The table models are not that different, except that they have those extra 4 legs to support the laptop at a higher level, which can be convenient. Do check out and get one ~ if you haven't yet. Keep your lappy cool and happy :-)

My Review ( P.O.V ) : This very cute speaker landed in my hands a few days back and I'm loving this tiny thing. It boasts of good sound quality, but can crack a bit at full-volume ( not all devices though - nonetheless, advisable to keep it at slightly lower than full ). There is no volume control on speaker, however, it has a good battery life. For its price, it is quite a decent well-made product, though with higher budget one can get even better quality. The body is of rubber-mat-finish, hence, looks quite trendy and is cool to touch. Retractable cable ensures tangle free wires ( though it is thin and short ) and its standard micro-USB charging cable is commendable. It comes in different colours besides 'blue' which I got. Easy to carry around, it is good for personal use in a regular size room, not suitable for large hall or bigger parties. Check out the other model :-)

My Review ( P.O.V ) : I received this MotoG recently. It is a black beauty that has 2 miroSIM slots as well as is WI-FI enabled. It has loudspeaker too and its touch screen is Capacitive. Model ID is XT1033. In the Box were the Headset, User Manual, Handset with Inbuilt Battery, Charger, Battery Door. Its video player supports MP4, VC1, H.264, WMV9, DivX, HD. It has FM, and its music player supports MP3. Video Recording is at 720 x 1280 resolution @30 fps with FlashLED. Its Secondary Camera is 1.3 Megapixel along with features like Auto Focus, Slow Motion Video, Burst Mode, Auto HDR, Panorama, Tap to Focus, Digital Zoom - 4x. Primary Camera is 5 Megapixel. Audio Jack is of 3.5 mm. Preinstalled Browser is Android with Bluetooth v4. Navigation Technology GPS, GLONASS, with Google Maps. Internet Features email. Incidently, the first mobile I ever owned was a Motorola, so I'm glad to own one of its finest new models yet again. Will put a more detailed review in couple of days. Asus is a young, fast growing company with innovation and quality as its core, catering to the needs of the people ever since it entered the market. The Asus Eee PC 1015CX-BLK011W Netbook is a sophisticated machine, which has multiple user friendly features to perform necessary functions, all at a very reasonable price. It has the Intel Atom Dual Core ( 2nd Generation ) integrated processor which is very powerful and more thus reliable. The Asus Netbook is suitable for both business purposes as well as for personal use.

Style and Portability : It is a very professional looking, compact device( dimensions of 262 x 178 x 36.4 mm ), weighing only 1.25 kg, with a sleek design and smoothly curved edges. It is portable and can be carried or fitted anywhere. The display of the notebook is of a high resolution, with a 10.1 inch screen. The WSVGA LED Backlight Non-Glare Display produces brilliant screen clarity of the images/visuals. A sturdy Standard Chiclet Keyboard along with a touchpad, makes typing and navigation very simple.

Performance : It is a high performance and efficient netbook. The Intel Atom Dual Core N2600 Processor which is built on a Mobile Intel NM10 Express Chipset, and supported by a clock speed of 1.6 allows multitasking all day without compromising on speed. The system memory of the device is 1 GB DDR3 and the SATA Hard Disk installed in this system has a sizeable capacity of 320 GB for data storage. The Intel GMA 3600 Graphic Processor permits mild gaming and can play HD movies.

Multimedia and Connectivity : The speakers are of high quality and have Hi-Definition Audio CODEC Sound with an Internal Mic and a 0.3 Megapixel web camera that can be used to record videos or take pictures. There are three USB 2.0 ports attached on the sides of this Netbook. The HDMI and VGA ports allow you to connect the system to other devices that support video. The multi card slot is another useful feature. For internet connection it has the wireless LAN. An RJ45 LAN port is also available on the system. Wireless transfer of data is possible with the installed Bluetooth device.

Battery and Other Features : The 6 cell battery of this Netbook provides an amazing battery backup of up to 11 hours. A 65 W AC Adapter is required to supply power to the system.

When I bought this device over a year ago from a retail shop, it cost me around 17k, and now I'm seeing it available at around 15k on flipkart online store. Now ain't that simply superb? I think it is, 'cos you get an amazing product at such a cool, cheap prize. Amazing, because I've been using it like a maniac. I have 3 laptops and 2 desktops ( dont ask me why I have so many computers, its a long story, and I do love them too - dont get me wrong ), but this Asus baby of mine is simply so precious. I love its size. It is so easy to carry around - anywhere I like with an amazing battery that lasts for hours. I do my daily activities on it effortlessly, though I use my other computers too occasionally. But this one is like my baby, whom I cant ignore, lol.
