we entered back into the old pink-city via its pink gate...
approaching the city palace...
there are many entrances to the city palace, the auto dropped me in one...
tried touching it with my melting kulfi this time...
welcome to the city palace, buy your ticket first @Rs.100/-
love these around the palace...
the snake-charmer, the live puppet show, souvenirs or clothes; take your pick...
I chose the palace's cafeteria for a quick bite & refreshments...
exploring the various magnificent structures inside the palace grounds...
things that caught my attention ~ arches, silver jars, carvings, chandeliers...
yea, these too ~ especially, the royal door...
walking the royal corridors...
admiring some paintings, clicking till allowed; beyond, pics are prohibited...
royal baggi khana where royal carriages are kept...so many of them :o
last but not the least, click a selfie in one of the royal mirrors...
left the palace grounds via a different short-cut exit...
Thus, my day with the royalty comes to an end. So many forts and palaces visited in a single day ~ mainly possible, cos' all of them are quite close to each other. I'm sure, I missed out other attractions of Jaipur, maybe next time. I left Rajasthan enriched for sure...
The City Palace, Jaipur was established at the same time as the city of Jaipur, by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, who moved his court to Jaipur from Amber, in 1727. The Udai Pol near Jaleb chowk, the Virendra Pol near Jantar Mantar, and the Tripolia (three pols or gates) are the three main entry gates of the City Palace. ( wiki ).
