my rendezvous with Jaipur started with Jaipur station...
around the metro fly over...
some directions around the city...
the various roads around the city ( newer parts )...
some land marks...
different types of rickshaws plying the city...
street fashion as well as shops...
some official buildings, schools, temples, shops etc, in old pink city...
the iconic pink Ajmeri Gate ( from both sides )...
whats this? hmmm...
early morning and late afternoon glimpses of the old pink city parts...
and finally, my rendezvous with Jaipur ended with Jaipur Station as well...
my last meal in jaipur at a hotel near the station...
my train arrives soon and its time to bid bye to the land of the maharajas...
Jaipur, is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region and that, in 1727, founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. At the center of its stately street grid (notable in India) stands the opulent, colonnaded City Palace complex. With gardens, courtyards and museums, part of it is still a royal residence ( wiki ).
