Unlike other return trips, I was particularly excited for this one, because, the terrains on the entire route are really death-defying, hair-raising call-it-whatever! I didn't want to miss out on a single hand-on-mouth-in-awe moment. I was again travelling with a bunch of men, and being the only female in the trip I was lucky to get a window-seat again ~ sat on the edge of it throughout. My hotel owner had booked the sumo for me @Rs.700/-, and it honked early morning. By the time it collected other passengers, day light had begun creeping up in this eastern sleepy town. This post contains mostly the part of the route from Tawang to Sela pass that I couldn't capture on the first day itself, as night had fallen just after we got stuck and finally crossed Sela. So, enjoy ~

the driver stops, and vanishes for a pee-break...we are just near Sela...
these tyre marks are important...its how drivers navigate in snow-covered roads...
cross by army vehicles/convoy...they drag their vehicles up in the snow by traction...
bye bye mighty himalayas...we enter the 'normal' hill region now...
going downhill...snow disappears and the greens appear...
far away views of the mountains we just left behind...
river Kameng appears again, joins us rest of the way till we exit Arunachal..
we stop for lunch at a different place this time...
After this point, I didn't click pictures anymore and just continued to enjoy the rest of the trip. We passed by the same sights we had gone through, the first day. The driver was expert and we reached quite on time, also, didn't have any trouble mid-way, thank heavens for that! He also took a shorter route from Bhalukpong this time, so, instead of going to Tepur, he drove along the northern banks of the Brahmaputra via Mangaldoi, Udalguri etc, and crossed the Saraighat bridge to finally enter Guwahati, at sharp 8pm. Thus, my unbelievable trip to Tawang came to an end!
Tawang is a town in the Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh, situated at an elevation of approx 3,048 metres ( 10,000ft ) to the east of Bhutan. The town once served as the district headquarters of West Kameng district, and became the district headquarters of Tawang district when it was formed from West Kameng ( wiki ).
